Must read by Nina Illingworth: (click photo to read the full article and go to Nina’s blog):
I just went to the DNC official website and read the official rules and bylaws. First, the DNC preamble reads, in part, “we acknowledge that a political party which wishes to lead must listen to those it would lead.” Then, the Bylaws, Article 1, Section 2 provides for the standards to be applied to the convention to be specifically authorized by the DNC in the Call to Convention. They make the rules, repeal the rules, and define the voting procedures for delegates during the Call to Convention. It goes on the indicate that whatever rules they vote in during the Call to Convention will be applied as “temporary rules.”
Therefore, the nonsense we are being told about how many delegates and super delegates are apportioned to whom and how they have to vote can be revised, modified, changed, repealed or any other thing, by vote BEFORE THE ACTUAL DELEGATE VOTES FOR THE PARTY NOMINEE ARE CAST.
